And its a girls car!(not the one in the pic tho) Who actually keeps it clean! So i need your help. I need some sort of clever caption to put on a picture of my prelude and a bunch of others lined up at meet. And im gonna put it on her car to invite her to a prelude meet.
Maybe ill ask her to another meet as well, but i have to do this part first.
Also, Mugen bumpers on preludes are killer.

"Gave that bitch a V-tec, because bitches love V-tec"
"You there! I like your shit, come hang out with us"
Where do you live that preludes are exotic?

north west jersey. The upper left corner that is mostly farmland everyone forgets about.
I hope she knows what vtec is though....

hah, what the hell? Hello from central jersey
I don't see many but I see them around sometimes.

ehhhhhh my jersey buddy!
There are more of them the more south you go. But i went to the tristate prelude meet and maybe 20 showed up. And that includes the city, and the other gen preludes. There are pretty much none within a 50 mile radius of me on a daily basis. Ive seen maybe 3 in the past year (5th gens like me).
Also how central are you? You close to willowbrook? Big meet happening oct 9 at 8pm.
maybe we should do a Oppo jersey meet to some go kart place too.

Willowbrook is about an hour north of me
I wonder if theirs even enough opponauts in the tri state area that we could get a meet going. Would be interesting to see how many different types of cars show up. Or how many miatas

I almost thought you said country.
Um, good luck with Prelude girl. That's all I got.

country would be an exaggeration. Ludes arent THAT rare. BUT theyre pretty rare for a honda hahaha.
well, i see it could go one of two ways: Not horrible. Or. My car will burst into flames in a giant fireball explosion that the universe sent as a sign, and i will be left alone as they mock me.
Im hoping for the prior.

Haven't seen a clean Prelude for ages.
Be bold and shameless — "Your gorgeous and graceful presence is requested at the next Prelude meet.
... the driver may also attend if desired."

"hey baby, lets me and you go to a prelude meet and then watch a movie" *awkward wink*

haha!!!
imdb gave 5/10 tho... so it could go horribly wrong...

HAha, its funny. Whenever i go to meets, and people ask what car i have, and then they realize its the prelude, 9 times out of 10 the response is "thats a clean ass prelude" or "that lude is as clean as shit". I accept their complements, but i feel their choice of sentence 'enhancers' arent the ones id use to describe a clean lude... Also, come to jersey and ill show you a clean ass prelude. haha
Dude, i think im gonna use that. For real. Thats perfect.

or horribly right!
I umm.. am no suggesting actually watching the movie

horribly right. i like that.
and yeahhh i caught on.... I just couldnt figure out how to make a witty comment on a terrible movie.
Btw, since your a civic hatch guy, have you had any experience with ep3's? my friend is looking into them, and i havent really searched around to see if they have any fatal flaws.

my dad had a EP hatch, loved it. The K-series is a smooth engine, developing power across the rev range instead of just at stupid high RPM. Inteligent VTEC rather than just a switchover point. I love the shifter location, enabled by it being cables rather than bars that do the shifting. Great room in the back, good supporting stock seats up front. Downsides, the stock clutch was very light and had little to no feel. A lot of people complain about the change in suspension design, but it still felt agile and fun in stock form. I can only imagine that a good lowering, and a decent clutch would make it a superb vehicle. I didn't like the white gauges, or the silver dash, but thats just visuals.

Thats good. I hear great things about the K series. Plus their aftermarket is leaps and bounds beyond what im used to with an H, so i told him he can have a lot more fun in that respect. Its funny, he loves the position of the gear knob, but to me it was the only thing that kept me from looking further into them. I couldnt handle it being there, i just couldnt. But i understand and appreciate its design though, its neat.
Didnt everyone complain about all hondas suspensions after the EK? i guess the EP wasnt an exception. But with anything, a solid choice of new components could change that like you said.
Whats the major maintenance item with a K series? Since it no longer uses the T belt, are water pump intervals 100K still you think? Im just used to having this new set of rules engrained in my head that every 80K miles i gotta do a Tbelt, water pump, autotensioner, and all the seals along the way.

not sure about maintenance, yes it a timing chain which is preferred, I assume the water pumps last as long as when they were driven by a timing belt.
The K's true genius, is the air flow. Comes in the front and exhausts out the back. How Honda didn't think of that decades ago I'll never know.
